Max Miller Faces New Abuse Allegations…Rep. Max Miller is facing scrutiny after police reports resurfaced stating that his ex-wife, Emily Moreno, accused him of multiple incidents of domestic violence during their marriage, including allegations that he threw her against a wall, held a gun to her head, and threw hot water on her. She also alleged their young daughter was injured while in his care. Miller has never been charged with a crime, denies all allegations, and has sued his ex-wife for defamation, claiming she fabricated the accusations to gain an advantage in their custody dispute. The allegations have prompted calls from some Democrats for a House ethics investigation, while Miller’s reelection race in Ohio has tightened from “Solid Republican” to “Likely Republican.”

Common Sense Takeaway: These allegations are heinous. At the very least, Max Miller should resign. At the worst, Max Miller should be in jail. Domestic abuse is extremely serious, especially involving children. There needs to be some action taken here soon by Republicans and soon. Contrary to what they think, ethics rules don’t only apply to Democrats. I will not stop talking about this case until Max Miller is out of office. Watch my latest Youtube videos about him here:

Migrant Children Could Lose Their Lawyers….More than 20,000 unaccompanied migrant children could lose access to legal representation after the federal government’s contract with nonprofit legal aid groups expires. The organizations say the Trump administration has withheld $65 million in payments and is demanding confidential client information before renewing contracts—terms the groups argue violate attorney-client privilege. Several nonprofits have already begun furloughing staff, with some warning they may shut down entirely. A federal judge is set to hear the dispute next week, but advocates say that without lawyers, many children facing immigration court will have little chance of successfully fighting deportation.

Common Sense Takeaway: Just when I thought this administration couldn’t get any more evil. Now, they are taking legal resources away from children, who have no parents to protect them. These are CHILDREN. They are alone and they cannot advocate for themselves. This is one of the most disgusting moves by a president I have ever seen.

Trump Announces New Gaza Ceasefire Framework…President Trump announced what he says is a breakthrough agreement to end the war in Gaza, with Hamas agreeing to disarm in phases and Israeli forces eventually withdrawing from the territory. The proposed plan includes dismantling Hamas’ tunnel network, deploying an international security force, installing a new Palestinian government, and rebuilding Gaza over the coming year. While Hamas has signaled support for the disarmament framework, Israel has not publicly confirmed its agreement, and major questions remain about the timeline and implementation. If successful, it would mark the most significant step toward ending the conflict since the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack.

Common Sense Takeaway: As much as I want this to be true, we have seen this exact same ceasefire framework play out before, and it did not go well. Netanyahu continued to strike Gaza, and the ceasefire ended. No ceasefire will occur until Israel agrees, and it’s clear that they have not agreed to this.
