Trump Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle Resigns Amid Misconduct Probe…Kimberly Guilfoyle, the U.S. ambassador to Greece and former Trump campaign surrogate, has resigned at the White House’s request amid a State Department inspector general investigation into allegations of misconduct. Reports include claims that she boasted about luxury trips funded by Greek tycoons and asked a Trump donor to cover a $100,000 credit card bill in exchange for access to administration officials. Guilfoyle denies wrongdoing, and her attorneys dispute the allegations. Trump said the administration was unhappy with what it had read about her conduct.
Common Sense Takeaway: Embarrassing. How do you even end up in $100k of credit card debt after being an ambassador and engaged to a Trump? Clearly this woman has a serious spending problem. Yet per usual, corruption breeds corruption, and in this administration, it’s a prerequisite. Bye Kimberly, you won’t be missed.
Trump Mocks Woman as Supporters Attack Her at Rally…President Donald Trump mocked a woman protesting for the release of the Epstein files as she was punched and dragged by fellow rallygoers in Youngstown, Ohio. Rather than condemn the violence, Trump called her a “paid protester,” insulted her weight, and claimed without evidence that the left was paying demonstrators to disrupt his events. Police escorted the woman out while her alleged attacker appeared to remain in the arena. The incident comes days after another protester was physically attacked at a separate Trump rally in Texas.
Common Sense Takeaway: If you haven’t seen the video, I’ll link it here. It’s extremely disturbing and yet a sad representation of what Trump has done to this country. All of these men should be sued for putting their hands on her, and the president too for encouraging the violence. Also, Donald, if you’re reading this, you’re the LAST one who should be commenting on someone’s bodyweight.
Kacey Musgraves Claps Back at Kristi Noem With Dog-Shot Dig…Country star Kacey Musgraves fired back at former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem after Noem took a swipe at her while endorsing Texas Republican Ken Paxton over Democrat James Talarico in the Senate race. Noem compared Musgraves unfavorably to country singer Ella Langley, prompting Musgraves to respond: “I don’t think you have a dog in this fight, but if you did you would have shot it.” The jab referenced Noem’s widely criticized account of shooting her own dog, Cricket, which she described in her 2024 memoir.
Common Sense Takeaway: Okay, Kasey, go off! She has a new fan in me. I’m here for this new genre of country artists who are outspoken and politically left-leaning. Gone are the days of the Dixie Chicks getting cancelled for a statement about the Iraq war. Oh, and Kristi sweetie? You should be focused on your divorce proceedings with your cross-dressing husband.
